When Dr. Blanchard began work on his B.S. in Medical Microbiology and Immunology and a certificate degree in Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, it was with the intent to become a physician like his father and brother. However, as the MCAT entrance exam grew nearer, a conversation with his former hockey coach (who also happened to be a dentist) led him to consider dentistry as a career. It wasn’t long before he switched gears and headed to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Dr. Blanchard always wanted to start his own practice so he could care for patients the way he saw fit rather than trying to please a corporate office. At Riverside Family Dental, he treats every patient like a member of his own family, taking the time to get to know everyone and building meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime.

When he’s not in the office, you can find him enjoying the great outdoors, running, fishing, hunting, and biking, or spending time with his wife, Alex, daughter, Gabi, and their two dogs, Maki and Walter.
